Yes. All of Ember LED's lighting is programmable and dimmable. Depending on your application and geographic/climate considerations, we recommend programming and/or dimming your lighting throughout the night to reduce the system's upfront cost and increase its lifetime.
Yes. Our solar powered eShine series is designed to store enough power for the lighting to run for 4-5 nights with absolutely no sunlight (complete darkness). However, even on cloudy, rainy, or snowy days, enough sunlight peeks through to generate some power. So, in actuality, the lighting has closer to 6-12 days of backup power for inclement weather. In properly installed and commissioned systems, we have never had a light go out because its battery completely ran out of power. Ember LED's solar powered eShine series lighting will continue to emit light at its designed intensity, even as the battery storage becomes depleted. Theoretically, if the battery completely lost its power, the light would turn off.

No. Ember LED's eShine solar pole system for solar powered LEDs is engineered to meet the EPA and wind loading requirements for every geographic location. It will be just as sturdy as any other properly designed pole-mounted lighting.
It depends. While it is certainly possible to replace an existing light fixture with a solar powered LED fixture, it is not always the most cost-effective or practical solution. In most cases, if the existing lighting is already connected to the grid, then replacing the lighting with non-solar powered LEDs, such as our vShine series, makes the most sense. Ember LED's solar powered LED systems will last for about 20 to 30 years. However, the various components of the system may need to be replaced before that time. For example, the driver will last for about +/- 15 years and the battery will last for 7 to 10 years.
LEDs are actually comparable to high-intensity discharge (HID) lighting, which is the most common type of outdoor lighting. The reason LEDs are more cost-effective than HIDs is because they last for over 100,000 hours, which is more than 4 times the expected life span of HIDs. HIDs also require regular re-lamping and ballast replacement, while LEDs require virtually no maintenance. In addition, LEDs are dimmable, come in many color options, and turn on instantly, unlike HIDs.
The solar hardware for Ember LED's eShine series lighting is designed to be integrated as part of the product.
